Irish Cream Cake with Irish Cream Fudge

Saint Patrick’s day is coming up, so I decided to try this cake. I had the cake recipe for a while now, I made some slight changes, I don’t remember where I found it though… The fudge I found on the website cited below, I thought it would go nicely with the cake and indeed it did! This cake is so moist and not too sweet! It is so yummy!


For cake:
2 cups of flour
1 ¾ cups of sugar
¾ cup of cocoa
Pinch of salt
1 tbsp baking soda
1 egg
2/3 cup of vegetable oil
¾ cup of buttermilk
¼ cup of Irish Cream
1 cup of strong black coffee (I added a shot of espresso to the black coffee)

For Fudge:
½ cup Irish Cream
¼ cup of cocoa
¼ cup of corn syrup
56g of chopped semi-sweet chocolate

Ingredientes em Português:

Para o bolo:
2 copos de farinha
1 copo de açúcar
¾ copo de cacau
Pitada de sal
1 colher de sopa de bicarbonato de sódio
1 ovo
2/3 copo de óleo vegetal
¾ copo de buttermilk
¼ copo de Bailey’s
1 copo de café preto forte (acrescentei um expresso ao café preto)

Para Fudge:
½ copo de Bailey’s
¼ copo de cacau
¼ copo de xarope de milho
56g de chocolate semi-doce picado

buttermilk = 1 copo de leite com 1 colher de sopa de vinagre e deixa repousar por 10 min.
1 copo > 250 mL
