Portuguese Sardines & Caldo Verde

It’s summer, it’s hot outside, it’s time for BBQ… a Portuguese BBQ. Every summer even though we might not go to Portugal to eat the amazing Portuguese sardinha (sardines), we bring the sardinha to us!
You can find it easily here in Toronto. When buying just make sure that bag says they are from Peniche (the best sardines are from there! 😉 )

You can’t have sardines without Caldo Verde, it’s a must! Actually, Caldo Verde can be eaten in any occasion in a Portuguese household!

Red + Green Pepper
Potatoes for Boiling

For the Caldo Verde (6-8 people):
5 Yukon potatoes
2 Onion
2 tbsp olive oil
1 Portuguese chouriço

Ingredientes em Português:

Pimenta Vermelha + Verde
Batatas para ferver

Para o Caldo Verde (6-8 pessoas):
5 batatas amarelas
2 cebolas
2 colheres de sopa de azeite
1 chouriço
