If you translate Toucinho do Ceu it means bacon from heaven! 😂 The name is due to the fact that the original version had lard as an ingredient. This tart is made differently in different Portuguese regions. This recipe is my mom’s favorite 😊

Ingredients (for 20 cm cake pan):
350g of sugar
200mL of water
100g of ground almond
100g of figleaf gourd Jam (see note)
1 tsp of cinnamon
20 egg yolks
